Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Inkjet Print?

Inkjet prints are a digital reproduction of the original artwork, using a Cannon MG6120 photo printer, Arches Aquarelle Rag pure white textured paper (310 g/m) and dye-based ink.  These prints are a nice low cost option for anyone on a tight budget.  They’re great for adding a quick personal touch to any environment.  These prints have more saturation, density of black, and durability.  They are not archival.

What is a Giclée Watercolor and/or Canvas Print?

These exceptional art prints are digital reproduction of the original artwork, using a high-quality printing process known as “giclée,” from the French “to spray.” Using the highest levels of precision available, this process delivers a fine stream of pigment-based ink to saturate the fibers of both the watercolor paper or canvas, resulting in pure, rich color and remarkable detail. If you love the artwork and you want it to last a lifetime, then either of these giclée prints are for you.  They are 100% archival.  The watercolor prints include a white acid free gallery matboard and will require a frame.  The canvas prints are pre-stretched with a 1.5″ cradle depth and ready to hang.  Museums and galleries around the world favor giclée prints in all styles.

What is a Limited Edition Print?

Using the Giclée printing process, these are limited to a one-time printing of a set quantity and size. Limited edition prints are a collectible works of art, signed and dated by me in pencil, and numbered as say 67/100 to show the unique number of that print and the total edition size. Once an edition is sold out, it’s history and I will never produce another edition of that image size/style again. The prints arrive with a white acid free gallery matboard and a certificate of authenticity.

What is Original Art?

All original artwork is created by me, from start to finish, using nothing but archival materials.  The artwork arrives fully finished with an acid free gallery matboard, frame and certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

What type of matboard do you use?

A Crescent Standard Gallery Matboard (6-ply, approx 1/8″ thick) and Backer Board (4-ply, .050″ thick) is included.  Both are solid white throughout and acid free.
